The Long County High School baseball team lost to Vidalia High School, 10-1, Saturday in Ludowici.
With the loss, the Blue Tide’s record fell to 5-9 overall and 1-6 in Region 2-AA, while the visiting Indians improved their records to 4-10 and 3-3, respectively.
Today, the Tide is scheduled to be back on the road to face another tough region opponent in Jeff Davis High School.  The Yellow Jackets bring an 11-5 record into today’s match-up and are 6-2 in the region.
The Yellow Jackets have been on fire lately and are coming off a 15-3 win over Bleckley County, which extended their winning streak to seven games.
The Tide, on the other hand, will be trying to get back on the winning track and end their two-game skid.
Today’s game is in Hazlehurst and the first pitch will be thrown at 6 p.m.
