Volleyball approaching mid-season

The local volleyball teams are nearing the mid-season point.
A very young Bradwell Institute team is currently 0-6 according to maxpreps.com. The Lady Tigers’ last match was Thursday when they fell in two straight sets to Glynn Academy. On Tuesday, the Lady Tiger also lost two sets against Brunswick in a tournament held at Effingham County High School.
Liberty County High School is 2-3 according to coach Lauren Hale. On Aug. 29 the Liberty girls beat Bradwell in two straight sets. Thursday, the Lady Panthers lost their match against Savannah Arts Academy, but turned right around to beat Groves in two sets at the same tournament in Savannah.
First Presbyterian Christian Academy was 0-5 as of Friday morning. They were to play Friday afternoon at St. Andrews. The girls lost 3-0 at Trinity Christian, 3-1 in their first matchup against St. Andrews, 3-1 at Faith Baptist, 3-2 at Bible Baptist and 3-2 against Valwood.
Since we last reported on the Lady Crusaders of Faith Baptist, the girls beat Heritage Christian 3-0 on Aug. 27. The score for matches against Southside Christian and Providence Christian in the last two weeks have not been updated. As of Aug. 27, Faith Baptist was 8-4.
