Walthour plays for Czech Republic squad

Metra Walthour, a former standout at Liberty County High School and Georgia Tech, is one of two American imports on the Czech Republic’s Basket Slovanka team in the Women’s European Basketball League

Walthour also is listed as one of the top two players on the team, according to eurobasket.com.

She played all four years at Liberty County High School and also made the all-district team each of those years.

In her fourth year, she was ranked 71st overall among high school seniors by All-Stars Girls Report.

During her four-year career at Georgia Tech, Walthour played in 128 games with 97 starts for a total of 3,532 minutes. She scored 818 career points and had 188 total rebounds, 389 assists, 18 blocks and 211 steals.

During her senior year, she was named a co-captain of the Lady Yellow Jackets squad.
