Over the weekend, Liberty County boys and girls and Bradwell Institute girls track and field teams competed in the Georgia Game Changers Apex Invite at Richmond Hill.

The meet featured a total of 10 high schools, with the Lady Panthers finishing first in the girls standings, beating Richmond Hill by 10 points, while Bradwell finished third. Liberty County’s boys finished second in the boys standings behind Richmond Hill.

The Lady Tigers had Elizabeth Santiago taking first in the 200-meter dash and second in the 100-meter dash. Kyra Barney finished behind Santiago at third in the 100, and took first in the triple jump and second in the long jump. Tamia Clark finished third in the high jump.

Kailey Brough took home third in the 1,600 and second in the 3,200.

For the Lady Tigers, Alyisha Anderson took second in the 200 and had a great afternoon, taking first in the 100-meter hurdles, 300 hurdles, high jump and 4x100 with teammates Santana Robinson, Asiayna Achane, and Kiara Edwards.

The three teammates of Anderson also placed in other events. Robinson won the 100, Achane placed third in the 200 and Edwards finished third in the 400.

Along with the four Lady Tigers, Brianea LeBlanc finished first in the discus throw.

Vivica Neal finished third in the shot put. Teammate Javonna Johnson took first in the shot put along with finishing third in the discus throw. Zabrina Zuniga took third in the 2,000-meter steeplechase.

For the boys, Jaalon Frazier took third in the 100. Joshua Ferrell finished first in the 400 and Tomaurio Jenkins took third in the same event. Keymiiah Bennett and Andrew Stevens finished second and third, respectively, in the 110 hurdles.

Carson Coppet took second in the high jump and triple jump. Marquis Bishop came in third in the long jump. Enrika Tolbert won the discus throw. And the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams finished second in each race.

The Panthers now prepare for the Region 2AAA championship that takes place Monday and Tuesday at Bradwell Institute.
