The Long County High School baseball team defeated Tattnall County 11-1 Tuesday in Ludowici.
David Shuman was on the mound to face the Battle Creek Warriors and, after giving up a single hit in the top of the first, the senior pitched an almost flawless game, not allowing another hit, and only giving up one run in five innings.
Long County has won 6 of their last 8 games and, if they can get by McIntosh County, they will post a winning season after starting 2010 with a 2-4 mark.
