The Walker Middle School boys soccer team was defeated 4-1 by Waycross Middle School in the first round of region playoffs last Thursday. Although the Wildcats lost, making it to post-season play was an accomplishment for the program, which is only in its second year.
The team is comprised of sixth-, seventh- and eighth-graders and, according to previous reports from the Long County Board of Education, the goal is to eventually establish a high school soccer team.
Darrell Mosley is the head soccer coach.
