Raekwon McMillan racks up honors.

Former Liberty County linebacker and current Ohio State Buckeye Raekwon McMillan was named to ESPN’s 2014 True Freshman All-American Team on Monday.
McMillan also was chosen as freshman of the year by Bleacher Report writer Ben Axelrod in his picks for the Ohio State football awards. Axelrod also released his picks Monday.
Earlier this month, McMillan was named to the Big 10’s All-Freshman Team on BTN.com.
In 12 games, McMillan tallied 49 tackles, six of which came for a loss, 2.5 sacks and one interception, which he returned for a touchdown.
Axelrod said McMillan will be a crucial component for the Buckeyes against Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, the first of two semi-final playoff games Jan. 1. The Sugar Bowl kicks off at 7:30 p.m. The Rose Bowl is the other semi-final game at 1:30 p.m., pitting Oregon against Florida State.
