Former Liberty County High School and Ohio State linebacker Raekwon McMillan has signed a four-year multi-million dollar contract with the Miami Dolphins.

McMillan’s four-year deal included a $4,697,537 contract with the Dolphins, a $1,556,390 signing bonus, $3,164,914 guaranteed, and an average annual salary of $1,174,384. In 2017, McMillan will earn a base salary of $465,000 and a signing bonus of $1,556,390, while carrying a cap hit of $854,098 and a dead cap value of $2,699,914, according to sporttrac.com.

The former Liberty County High School Panther was the Dolphins’ second-round pick selected No. 54 overall in last month’s NFL Draft. He was a three-year college letterman (2014-16) and two-year starter at Ohio State, playing in 40 career games with 26 starts and was part of Ohio State’s 2014 national championship team.

McMillan earned second-team All-American honors in both 2015 and 2016. During his college career, McMillan totaled 275 tackles (136 solo), six sacks, one interception, 10 passes defensed and two forced fumbles. He also served as a team captain in 2016.
