Panther makes an Eagle during victory at Sapelo Hammock

A Liberty County Panther scored an eagle during a match pitting the Liberty County Panthers against the Bradwell Tigers and the McIntosh Academy Buccaneers at Sapelo Hammock Golf Course Wednesday.
In the men’s match the Panthers came out the leaders with a score of 185. Panther Wesley Hurr scored the eagle and scored a 47. Ben Floyd was the medalist for the Panthers with a 34.
Panther coach Jerome Standard said that might be the best score for golf at Liberty High men’s program. He said Zachary Johnston and Ceasar Rodriguez added to Liberty’s score in the match.
Bradwell Institute came in second with a score of 207 and McIntosh finished with a 247.
The ladies match pitted McIntosh against Liberty. Lady Panther Cassie Standard was medalist with a 50 as the Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Buccaneers 105 to 122.
The Bradwell Tigers, Liberty County Panthers and Wayne County Yellow Jackets are set to tee-off on Tuesday at Pine Forrest Golf Course. Tee time is 2 p.m.
