Panthers and Tigers lose Tuesday baseball games
baseball

Liberty County High School and Bradwell Institute baseball teams were in action on Tuesday evening with the Panthers taking on Tattnall County, and the Tigers facing Brunswick.

The Panthers fell to the Warriors with a final score of 7-1. Their one run came towards the end of the game when they were already down 5-0. Ronnie Keaton hit an RBI double to bring home Dylan Stewart and to put the Panthers on the board. Keaton finished the game going 2 for 3 with the solo RBI for Liberty County. Brett Smith pitched for the Panthers, giving up seven runs on five hits.

Bradwell’s game against Brunswick was cut short to four innings when the Pirates defeated the Tigers via mercy rule with a final score of 15-2. Brunswick scored 12 first inning runs to take a massive lead, and then added three more runs in the second inning for added insurance. The Tigers scored one run in the third and another in the fourth, but it wasn’t enough to continue play.

Both teams look to bounce back from their losses in their next games. Liberty County travels to Savannah to face Calvary Day on Thursday, making this game three of a six game road trip. The Tigers will have their opportunity to exact revenge on Brunswick, as they play the Pirates again tonight at 6pm, and again on Friday.
