A strong sixth inning wasn’t enough for the Liberty County High School baseball team. They lost to Savannah Country Day 7-4 Tuesday on Panther field.
The Panther trailed 6-0 until the bottom of the sixth inning.
Panther Colby Rhea was three-for three at bat and scored a run to get things going in the fourth. Jacari Roberts and Dylan Gamble each had an RBI single and Jacob Albertson hit a two-run single.
Aric Albertson pitched the first four innings getting five strikeouts and walking three. Roberts finished earning four strikeouts and walking one.
The Panthers play at Bradwell Institute Friday at 6 p.m. Liberty is currently 2-4 overall.
