Rec baseball, softball starting

The Liberty County Recreation Department is accepting registration for youth baseball, softball and T-ball through Friday.

The programs are for boys and girls ages 4 and up. Participants must turn 4 prior to May 1.
Teams will be formed at Joseph Miller Park, Briar Bay Park, Hillery Park and Gum Branch Park if there are enough players players.
Volunteer coaches are needed. Training will be provided.
You can register on-line at www.lcrd.net, if age verification is on file, or at the LCRD Office, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The cost is $20 per child.

Adult softball
The department is accepting team entries for adult softball through March 18.
Divisions for both men and women’s teams are Open, Church, Coed, Industrial and 40 and over.

Umpires, scorers needed
The Liberty County Recreation Department is accepting applications for officials and scorekeepers for T-ball, softball and baseball programs. All programs start in April and continue into June. Applications may be obtained at the LCRD Office, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
