RH alumn starting College World Series

No. 4 Auburn earned the program’s first trip to the softball College World Series by sweeping a best-of-three Super Regional series from No. 11 Louisiana-Lafayette last weekend in Auburn, Alabama, according to

The Tigers (54-9) won the first game 12-11 Friday and claimed a 6-3 victory Saturday to clinch the CWS berth. Auburn opens CWS play at 2:30 p.m. today against Louisiana State in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Auburn went 2-1 this season against LSU, which comes into the game ranked No. 5.

Today’s game will be televised on ESPN.
