The Liberty County Panthers placed 10 players on the all-Region 3-AAA team.

Two players – senior quarterback Carlos Singleton and senior wide receiver Jeremiah Payne – were named to the first team offense. Singleton threw for 1,465 yards and 14 touchdowns and ran for another 503 and seven TDs. Payne had a team-high 561 yards and seven touchdowns receiving on 24 catches.

Senior receiver Ron Golden, senior linebacker Desmond Brown and junior defensive back Ryan Golden earned second team honors. The elder Golden had a team-leading 33 catches for 347 yards and four touchdowns. Brown led the team in tackles with 75 and in tackles for losses with eight. Ryan Golden had 53 stops.

Earning honorable mention were offensive lineman Jamon Pittman, defensive lineman Audric Whitfield, defensive back Julian Gerena, athlete Jalen Hurd and kicker Trey Aiello.

Calvary Day quarterback Jake Merklinger was named region player of the year. Savannah Country Day quarterback Barton Mixon was named offensive player of the year and Savannah Christian’s Elijah Griffin was named defensive player of the year. Savannah Christian’s David Bucey was named region athlete of the year, and Calvary Day’s Mark Stroud was named region coach of the year.
