Wild Game and Fish Fry Dinner is Friday

The Friends of the Coastal Gardens are hosting their 22nd annual Wild Game and Fish Fry Dinner on Friday, featuring Southern country cuisine.
The menu includes alligator, venison, quail, Jim’s fried fish and hush puppies, venison chili, wild game stew, collards, butter beans, biscuits, desserts and beverages.

Tickets are $50 per person. For reservations or questions, call 912-921-5460 or email elubrani@uga.edu. Reservations are required by Monday.
The dinner starts at 7 p.m. at the Lakeside Pavilion in the Coastal Georgia Botanical Gardens, 2 Canebrake Road, Savannah.

Race for Preservation is Saturday in Savannah

Registration is open for the Historic Savannah Foundation’s 10th annual Race for Preservation.
Included in Fleet Feet Sports Savannah’s Fabulous 14 Run Series, the 5K and 10K routes highlight five historic districts and two historic parks. Proceeds benefit the foundation’s work.

The race starts at 8 a.m. Saturday at the north end of Forsyth Park.
