Lady Tigers conditioning
The Bradwell Lady Tigers softball team started summer conditioning Tuesday. Conditioning is voluntary and is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5-7 p.m.
Girls entering grades 8 through 12 are welcome. Participants must have current sports physicals. Bring tennis shoes, water and a motivated attitude.

Walk to Dorchester Saturday
The 16th annual Walk to Dorchester is scheduled for Saturday. Registration forms are available at dorchesteracademyia.org.
Walkers may also register on that day at three locations, depending on how far they wish to walk. Registration at Briar Bay Park begins at 6 a.m. (full 9 miles). Registration at First Zion Baptist starts at 6:45 a.m. (6.7 miles) and registration at Thebes AME Church starts at 9:15 a.m. (1.2 miles). Walkers must register. Registration is $10.
Proceeds help restore the school, which was built to educate former slaves.
Walkers younger than 18 must have permission of parent or guardian. Walkers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and sunscreen. Participants should be dropped off at a starting point and arrange to be picked up at Dorchester Academy.

4-H selling Braves tickets
The Long County 4-H Club is selling tickets to the Atlanta Braves 4-H Night, July 16.
The game against the Colorado Rockies starts at 7:10 p.m. Tickets cost $13 each. Parking passes cost $10, $20 for passenger vans and $40 for buses.

Soccer camp
Atlantic Calcio Academy and the Hinesville Gators have partnered again for the annual Elite Soccer Camp. It is set for 9 a.m. to noon July 11-14 at James Brown Park and is open to ages 6-17.
The program is designed to teach American players Italian soccer skills. The program is coached by Gavino Asteghene, the 2013 Georgia Youth Soccer Association Coach of the Year and Atlanta Calcio Academy USA director. The coaching staff also includes ACA International coaches David Sexton, Jason Christie, Mike Cedeil and Francesco Macri.
Registration includes a dry-fit camp T-shirt. The cost is $150 per player. Campers may also purchase a game ball for $15, which is $30 off the normal retail price. Register online at www.atlantacalcioacademy.com.

Historic Ford Plantation to Host Ten Mile Road Race This Summer
The Inaugural Tour De Ford Ten Miler, to be run through the Ford Plantation of Richmond Hill at 8 a.m. Aug. 13. The race will benefit the Richmond Hill Historical Society and include a vintage car display and other related events focusing on the impact Henry Ford and his wife Clara brought to Richmond Hill (formerly Ways Station) and coastal Georgia.
The plantation is at 12511 Ford Ave., Richmond Hill.
Georgia Game Changers Running Co. is partnering with the Richmond Hill Historical Society to organize the race, which will be multiple-terrain -- grass, light trail, wood bridges, dirt road and asphalt -- and allow runners to see the Fords’ winter home and grounds. Business sponsorship opportunities are available.
Register by June 30 for $100, plus $6.49 fee. Final Registration (August 1 - August 12): $130 (plus $8.14 fee).

2017 CRITZ TYBEE RUN FEST
Registration is open for the 2017 Critz Tybee Run Fest Feb. 3-4. All race information can be found at www.critztybeerun.com
Participants have the option to race the North Beach Bar and Grill 5K, the 10K, the Chu’s Half Marathon, the Lighthouse Pizza 2.8 Mile Beach Run, or the 1 Mile Run, for a combined distance of 26.2 miles – a full marathon. The smallest runners can join in, too, and show their love for running by participating in the Kiddie Run.
