Long County baseball and football standouts Tommy Freeman and Jake Durham signed letters of intent Thursday to play college ball at Savannah State University next year.

Freeman, who pitched and also played third base for the Blue Tide, will join a Tiger team that went 24-23 in 2010.

Durham will focus on football at SSU, but he said he also will try to make the baseball team.
