Bradwell’s cross country teams had a few runners named to the All-Region 3-AAAAA team and the boys finished as runner-up at the region meet on Oct. 28.

The second-place finish was the boys’ highest placing since 2001, Tiger coach Brian Williams said, and advanced the team to Saturday’s state meet.

Wesley Worthy earned the honor of being the only Tiger named to the All-Region team.

Williams said the Lady Tigers finished in a three-way tie for first at the meet, but the rules that govern tiebreakers gave them third-place for the season.

Lady Tigers Sherina Hornsby, Alexandrea Drennan and Jaelin Sample were named to the girls All-Region team.

The top four teams advanced to the state meet, which is in Carrollton.
