Competing at the Statesboro Invitational track meet last weekend, the Bradwell Institute boys’ and girls’ track teams placed first and second, respectively, according to track coach D’Andre Davis.

The Lady Tigers finished second out of 17 teams.
“They were seven points away from winning the invitational,” Davis said. “There were several great performances from these young ladies.”
Davis said Lady Tiger McKaylin Darsey set a new school record with a time of 12:22 in the 2-mile run.

He added that Nicole Quigley set a school record in the pole vault with a height of 6 feet, 6 inches.
Lady Tiger Briana Johnson was in the top four for the High Point Award, the coach said. The Lady Tiger 4x100-meter relay team of Jada Daniels, Talisha Pope, Chalece Frasier took first place in the event.

The boys won the invitational by a close margin.
Tiger Chris Jackson won the High Point with more than 30 points.

“He won the 100-meter dash and the high jump,” Davis said. “He finished second in the 200 and was also a member of the winning 4x100-meter relay team with Luther Echols, Terrius Crimiel, Christian Evans and Chris Jackson.”

Da’Shaun Coleman also was a top performer. He finished second in the high jump and ran his best time in the 400-meter dash.
Crimiel, Christian Evans and Imari Hurte also were top performers the coach said.
