Metra Walthour named to post at Georgia Tech.

Former Liberty County High School and Georgia Tech point guard Metra Walthour has been named the assistant director of women’s basketball operations at Georgia Tech, according to a news release on ramblinwreck.com.
“I am happy to be back here at Georgia Tech again,” Walthour said.
Walthour finished her Georgia Tech career in
2012 ranked in the top 10 of several Georgia Tech career lists. Following her career for the Jackets, Walthour graduated with a degree in science, technology and culture in May 2012 and went on to be the Women’ Basketball Coaches Association’s “So You Want to be a Coach” intern for the 2013-14 year.
In 2014, Walthour returned to the Flats as a graduate manager for the Jackets. As a graduate manager, Walthour had a variety of responsibilities including coordinating team meals, helping to organize the team’s student managers, overseeing the recruiting mailing system, assisting with live-game breakdown of film and aiding in community-service initiatives.
