YMCA to honor veterans with free fitness
ymca bldg

In honor of Veteran’s Day, the YMCA of Coastal Georgia is opening their doors to recognize and thank the men and women who have served our country. Starting on Friday Nov. 11 through Sunday Nov. 13, YMCA of Coastal Georgia welcomes all veterans and active duty military to use facilities at no cost.

Since the Civil War, the Y has provided services to the military, and the Armed Services YMCA continues to support military members and their families. We are honored to provide this small gesture to our friends and neighbors who have served or are serving our country.

“We are forever grateful for the selfless service of our veterans. They continue to give for our freedoms,” says District Vice President Krystal McGee. “It is our hope that our veterans and active duty military will take advantage and stop in—we want to hear your story and commend your work.”

Participants will be asked to show ID at the Welcome Center. They will have full access to any of the YMCA of Coastal Georgia locations. ID will be needed on each separate visit through Sunday.
