Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class John C. Crockett  has deployed to the U.S. Naval Base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to serve as a member of Joint Task Force-GTMO in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and/or Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Crockett has served in the military for five years. He is the son of Earland M. Crockett of Orange Park, Fla.
His wife, Jessie Lynn, is the daughter of Jack Schulz of Midway.

Hawkins finishes ROTC course
Robert W. Hawkins has graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as “Operation Warrior Forge,” at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash.
He is the son of Mike W. and Jackie D. Hawkins of Heflin, La.
His wife, Josalyn, is the daughter of Marty and Casey Adams of Hinesville.
Hawkins is a 1999 grad-uate of Natchitoches Central High School in Louisiana.

Holmes graduates from basic
Air Force Airman Ronald G. Holmes graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas.
He is the son of Sharon Holmes of Midway.
Holmes is a 2009 graduate of Liberty County High School.
