STATESBORO — U.S. Rep. John Barrow, D-Ga., will host a veterans and military job fair from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, at Georgia Southern University’s Nessmith-Lane Conference Center, 847 Plant Drive.
The job fair is open to military service veterans, active-duty military personnel, National Guard and Reserve component troops, and military spouses. Representatives from more than 70 businesses and agencies, including Gulfstream, U.S. Border Patrol and Georgia Southern, will be there to talk with job seekers about employment opportunities.
Georgia Southern University President Dr. Brooks Keel will deliver opening remarks along with comments from Statesboro Mayor Joe Brannen. Barrow also will address the veterans and employers.
