A prescribed fire will be conducted today in Liberty and Long counties. The fire, which may present smoke to residents of Bryan, Evans, Liberty, Long and Tattnall counties, will be carried out by Fort Stewart Forestry.
 The prescribed burn is being conducted by trained practitioners to reduce hazardous forest fire fuels and improve wildlife habitat. It is a safe way to apply a natural process and reduce the risk of wildfires. The burn should be complete by 3 p.m.
