St. James basketball camp on tap
The second annual St. James Sport Center Fundamental Basketball Camp will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the St. James Sports Center in Holmestown. Open to boys and girls in fifth through ninth grades, the camp is free, but campers must be registered. Participants can register at the center.  
Twenty campers will be named all-stars, and the MVP will receive a free Nike T-shirt and basketball.
A basketball game between Fort Stewart’s Youth ChalleNGe Academy and the Coastal Crew Rebels’ Elite team will follow the camp. Tip-off is at 2:30 p.m., and the game is free and open to the public.

Youth bowling on Fort Stewart
Fort Stewart Youth Bowling registration for kids ages 3-18 is from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday at Marne Lanes, 54 Steele Ave. The league starts at 9:30 a.m. Sept. 22. Call Jeff Eastlake at 369-8384 or 977-2015 or Marne Lanes at 767-4866 for more information.
