UGA Day in Statesboro

 The University of Georgia Alumni Association and the UGA Athletic Association have teamed up to bring UGA Day to Statesboro on May 22. A buffet dinner begins at 6 p.m., followed by the official program at 7 p.m.
UGA Day will be held at the Belle House.
Vice President for Instruction Laura Jolly will discuss the latest news from campus.
Head football coach Mark Richt and head basketball coach Mark Fox will share their insights into UGA’s upcoming seasons.
Chuck Dowdle, a former WSB-TV sportscaster, will host the event.
Online registration by May 20 is $20, on-site registration is $30 and a reserved table of eight is $280. The event is free for children under 6 years old.
Attendees will learn how to become involved in the UGA Alumni Association.

UGA notes
Second-ranked Vanderbilt edged Georgia 5-1 in Sunday’s rubber match of an SEC baseball series at Foley Field as the Bulldogs made a season-high five errors.
Vanderbilt improved to 35-6, 16-2 SEC. Georgia fell to  15-26 and 4-14 in the SEC.
The Bulldogs played Georgia Tech on Tuesday at Turner Field in Atlanta. The Yellow Jackets beat Georgia 7-5 earlier this season, but the Dogs hold a 7-3 edge in the Turner Field game, which benefits Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
