August art exhibit features food colors
August Art Exhibit

The Hinesville Area Arts Council will host an art exhibit titled “Coastal Wanderings,”  featuring artwork by Judi Mills during August.

“Everyone has some art in them — painting, drawing, singing, playing guitar, writing, anything,” Mills said. “You need to let that art out. That’s what happened to me when I was in the bakery doing my cake thing. I was hit with an idea for a painting that wouldn’t wait, so I started painting with food color. Let that art out and share it with others.”

The exhibit will open with a free community reception at the council’s gallery at 102 Commerce St. in downtown Hinesville from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Aug. 4. The gallery is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
