Katlynn Peacock of Jesup and Jamie McCartney Jr. of Hinesville have announced their engagement.

Katlynn is a 2012 graduate of Wayne County High School and is attending the College of Coastal Georgia for a degree in middle-school education. She is employed at the college.

Jamie is a 2013 graduate of Bradwell Institute and currently is attending the Georgia School of Ministry. He is employed at JK and T Tire and Automotive.

Parents of the bride-elect are Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Peacock III of Jesup. Maternal grandparents are Shirley Manning and the late Woodrow L. Manning of Jesup. Paternal grandparents are Mary Peacock and the late Joseph Peacock of Ludowici.

Parents of the bridegroom-elect are Mr. and Mrs. Jamey McCartney of Hinesville. Maternal grandparents are Judith Ann Boyer Kahoka of Missouri and the late Adam Clark of California. Paternal grandparents are the late Joe and Jan McCartney II of Hinesville.

Their wedding will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at Grace Assembly of God in Jesup. Friends and relatives are invited; no local invitations will be issued.
