David Boudia and Steele Johnson qualified for the Rio Olympics after the 10-meter platform finals of the diving trials on Thursday.

However, there is something more important to the athletes than the Olympics: their relationship with Jesus Christ. On Friday, the Team USA Facebook page uploaded a video of the duo where they spoke openly about their faith.

Its cool because this is exciting, this is fun but this is not what my identity will be for the rest of my life. Yeah, Im Steele Johnson the Olympian, but at the same time Im here to love and serve Christ. My identity is rooted in Christ, not in the flips were doing, said Johnson, after the pairs final dive.

Johnson grew up idolizing Boudia, and now they will be teammates, according to the video.

We cant take the credit for this. God be the glory. This is why we do what we do, Boudia said.

The Rio Olympics will begin in August. This will be Boudias third time competing in the Olympics and Johnsons first.
