Paul and Linda Hawkins of Flemington will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Thursday.

They were married by the Rev. Buddy Welch in the Midway Baptist Church on June 15, 1967.

They have four children, eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; Grant and Kaye Hawkins and children Sarah, Jack and Grace of Atlanta, Stevie and Lisa Hawkins and girls Haleigh and Kaitlyn of Hinesville; Jami and Chris Maudlin and daughter Emily Graves of Richmond Hill; Caroline and Glen Tart and children Brandon and Katie Morgan (and children Zander of Bentley) and Blythe Morgan (and children Sophia, Jonhantan and Michael) of Columbia, SC.

Paul owned Hawkins Electric Co. for 48 years. Linda worked for the Liberty County Board of Education for 20 years. Both are now retired.

They will celebrate their anniversary in Memphis, Tenn.
