Hinesville Pharmacy had its inaugural health fair on Oct. 7. Free blood pressure and glucose testing were offered, along with flu and pneumonia vaccinations and cholesterol testing.
“Each year, the goal of our health fair is to increase health awareness and motivate participants to make positive health behavior changes by providing health screenings, activities, demonstrations and other helpful information,” said Alex Tucker, co-owner of Hinesville Pharmacy. “We look forward to offering this important service to our community each year in the future.”
The health fair coincided with the 25th annual “talk about prescriptions month” whose theme for 2010 is “promoting safe use / preventing abuse.”
Hinesville Pharmacy’s staff was on hand throughout the fair to answer questions about dietary supplements, prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
