The Long County Health Department is giving stop-smoking patches to residents who are struggling to quit smoking.
“Over 11,000 Georgians die every year from a tobacco-related illness,” William Miller, executive director of the Long County Family Connection, said. “We the Long County Family Connection don’t want you to be one of those people.”
Family Connection, the health department, the Long County Council for Community Action and the Coastal Health District are spearheading the program. Call 545-2107 for an appointment.
