Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not know if they are true, nor what motivated the callers:

This town is too small for what they are trying to put into it. We have enough houses, restaurants and such. We’re never going to be Savannah.

I am so happy about the article about how small Hinesville is. Thirty thousand as opposed to 300,000 people. It’s time to wake up, smell the coffee and realize no more homes need to be built. Deal with what we have.

The Coastal Courier is a wonderful local newspaper, but it really needs a proofreader, so many grammatical errors. If you need a proofreader, advertise it, I’ll be right there.

I thought the American Legion in Hinesville belonged to the American veterans in the United States, not a couple gossipy women and a guy. When did this change?

Please, mayor of Midway, see if you can get the commodity foods from the government in Midway. They do in Riceboro and Hinesville. We need more services in Midway.
