Here are some of the issues area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

 

Make sure you have love in your heart for everyone when you ask God for a favor because the Bible says He will spew you out of His mouth.
 
Why are they closing Yellow Bluff if they haven’t built the other marina? Where are we supposed to put our boats in at?
 
It seems Al Gore’s global warming got to him and used him.
 
You shouldn’t be afraid of going to Manna House for help if you need it, but the people up there make you feel like a criminal because you’re asking for help.
 
They need to bring back our JCPenney’s. We need to get a T.J. Maxx or something to get some shopping back in this town instead of Walmart.
    
Good job, MACE team. They passed by probably six crack houses to bust a 67-year-old man that made his own liquor. They got five gallons of moonshine and act like it was a great accomplishment. He wasn’t hurting anyone, but those crack houses sell to kids.
