Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:
Somebody turned me in to Commissioner Bowen for having unsightly conditions in my yard. Mr. Mullen served me with the papers. I cleaned the yard and, in the process, I got hurt and am now having to pay doctor’s and surgeon’s bills. But I don’t have any right to know who turned me in, so says Mr. Bowen and Mr. Mullen.
I wish our country was smart like some of the other countries, like Norway. They get all their subsidies and stuff and they put it in the bank and save it for hard times for the people to rely on. But the people here who get those incentives, they spend it up so that they don’t have to give it to the poor. They just look out for themselves.
God does not like it when the earth gets polluted. And as of now, everything on earth is polluted, and it brings the wrath of God down on the dust of the earth from which He made us and to which we will return.
Maybe I should be calling the police. There’s probably a felony in progress down my road. There are two little girls selling lemonade.
Tell the mother of the little girls who had the lemonade stand in Midway to take some pictures and send the news in to the Bill O’Reilly show on Fox News and I bet they’ll have this on the Fox News Channel.
There is a little Chihuahua or a young Jack Russell terrier running lose near the Farmers Home Furniture across from Walmart. It was hiding behind the building as I was trying to catch it. It’s white and brown in color.
The city of Hinesville needs new people in the city offices. Make sure to get new faces on the city council because I think it would be better. The ones they’ve got on there now, they’re not doing anything.
