Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously, so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the callers:

Somebody turned me in to Commissioner Bowen for having unsightly conditions in my yard. Mr. Mullen served me with the papers. I cleaned the yard and, in the process, I got hurt and am now having to pay doctor’s and surgeon’s bills. But I don’t have any right to know who turned me in, so says Mr. Bowen and Mr. Mullen.

I wish our country was smart like some of the other countries, like Norway. They get all their subsidies and stuff and they put it in the bank and save it for hard times for the people to rely on. There is a little Chihuahua or a young Jack Russell terrier running lose near the Farmers Home Furniture across from Walmart. It was hiding behind the building as I was trying to catch it. It’s white and brown in color.
