Sound off for July 8

Here are some of the issues that area residents are discussing. The statements were phoned in anonymously so the Courier does not vouch for their veracity, nor do we know what motivated the caller:

The president that we have in office, everybody blames him for everything, but the economy belongs to God, and He will send one disaster after another and ruin the economy. It is time for people to change. It is time for a change.

Angel Food Ministry boxes are still available for people in Hinesville and surrounding areas at New Hope Church of the Nazarene on Sandy Run Drive. Call them at 368-5457.

I’m still waiting for the Coastal Courier and the Liberty County Board of Education to have the 2011-12 school year calendar printed. People do not know when school is starting, much less anything else. I think this is a very important thing that should be in the paper.

Editor’s note:

The calendar has been published. Readers can find it at http://beta.coastalcourier.com/section/5/article/33555/ or http://www.liberty.k12.ga.us/Calendars/2011-2012/index.asp. It will run again in the Courier’s July 31 back-to-school section.
