Bog Bash fights cystic fibrosis

Claxton resident and local representative of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Felicia Hutcheson, has set Bog Bash ’09 (Bikes and bands for another breath) featuring a poker run and 12 hours of food, entertainment  and fun Saturday, Sept. 19.
The event will raise money for a cure and therapies to benefit children diagnosed with cystic fibrosis.
Dead Man’s Hand is the entertainment headliner.
The two-part fundraiser begins with the run. Registration opens at 9 a.m. at Prime Source Auto Sales, Highway 301 South in Claxton.  The last bike goes out at 10 a.m. $20 buys includes one hand, lunch and entry into the concert.
The concert begins at noon at Cobbtown Mudd Bogg on Highway 121 at Cobbtown, between Reidsville and Metter. If you’d like to attend the concert only, $10 per person is required. Children 6-14 cost $5 and 5 and under are free with an adult ticket purchase.
All proceeds benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This event has replaced “Cruise For Cure” that is usually held in May.
