History tours in Liberty May 5

Liberty County will showcase homes and gardens of historic Hinesville and Midway from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. May 5.
This 12th annual event will feature seven historic sites in Liberty County, including Midway Museum, Midway Church and Cemetery, Seabrook Village’s costumed re-enactment of slave days, the Bacon-Fraser Home and Garden, Dorchester Academy, and the LeConte-Woodmanston Rice Plantation and Botanical Garden.
Author Erskine Clark will sign copies of his book, “Dwelling Place, a Plantation Epic” at the Midway Museum. Lunch will be served at LeConte Woodmanston.
