Richmond Hill United Methodist Church’s 58th annual Barbecue, Bazaar and Silent Auction is set for Saturday, Nov. 21.
A community tradition since 1951, the fundraiser is always on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. Proceeds go to support the church’s mission activities, youth events and building fund. The event, which usually draws a crowd, includes family activities, arts and crafts, food and entertainment.
The bazaar will feature handmade items by the Bunny Club Craft Group, and the silent auction will include items donated by merchants and residents in Richmond Hill, Savannah, Hinesville and Midway.
The bazaar is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and the silent auction concludes at 2 p.m.
Meals tickets can be purchased in advance or on the day of the event. Bazaar organizers are taking pre-orders for whole hams, pork butts, ribs, quarts of potato salad and apples. Ten thousand pounds of ham and barbecue sauce in quart and gallon containers will be sold at the bazaar.
Pre-orders must to be picked up by 3 p.m. Nov. 21. Call 756-2190 to place an order.
The church is at 9050 Ford Ave. For more information, go to www.rhumc.com.
