A 2-year-old Hinesville boy was flown to Savannah Monday morning with head injuries he reportedly sustained while in the care of his aunt's boyfriend.
Hinesville Police Det. Melvin Kesner said Christian Ballard, 29, was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with cruelty to children after he told police he dropped the child while babysitting. The boy's mother, Vanessa Garcia, 27, reportedly was at work when the incident occurred.
