Liberty Regional Medical Center (LRMC) recognizes Ameris Bank for its $500,000 contribution through the Georgia HEART Hospital Program, further strengthening access to healthcare for patients across Liberty County and the surrounding region.

To date, Ameris Bank has contributed a total of $2.85 million to Liberty Regional Medical Center through the Georgia HEART program, demonstrating a commitment to investing in the health and well-being of the community.

Support through the Georgia HEART program has played a critical role in advancing care at Liberty Regional Medical Center over the years. Contributions have helped fund essential facility upgrades, including major plant and engineering improvements such as roof repairs, boiler system expansions, and infrastructure enhancements.

Additionally, Georgia HEART funding has supported the expansion of key service lines, including the launch of oncology services, development of the Wound Care Center, and enhancements to imaging capabilities with new mammography and nuclear medicine equipment. Investments also have allowed LRMC to upgrade vital medical equipment, including patient monitors, ultrasound systems, ER stretchers, and lab analyzers, ensuring patients receive high-quality, modern care close to home.

These contributions play a vital role in ensuring rural hospitals like LRMC can continue to grow and meet the evolving needs of the communities they serve.

“On behalf of everyone at Liberty Regional Medical Center, we are incredibly grateful to Ameris Bank for their continued support,” said Derek Rozier, CEO of LRMC. “Contributions like this make a meaningful difference in our ability to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care close to home. It’s partnerships like these that truly strengthen our community.”

The Georgia HEART Hospital Program provides an opportunity for Georgia taxpayers to redirect a portion of their state income taxes to support qualified rural hospitals such as LRMC, while receiving a 100% state income tax credit.
