The Marne Community and Spouses’ Club (MCSC) will host its annual basket auction on March 2, at Club Stewart, 1020 Hero Road, on Fort Stewart.
The public event, which includes dinner and a live and silent auction, raises money for the non-profit organization’s scholarship and grant fund. The club raises thousands of dollars each year to fund scholarships for military dependents and grants for organizations that serve the Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield and surrounding area.
“We love having fun at our monthly luncheons,” said MCSC President Michelle Guran, “but our main goal every year is to raise money for our scholarship and grant fund. It’s the reason we exist. The success of our year depends not on how much fun we had, but on how much we were able to give away to stellar students and charitable organizations.”
The club is seeking sponsors to offset the costs of the event and businesses that would like to donate items for the live and silent auctions. Tickets to the event are $25 each or a table of 8 for $190. For more information on how to buy tickets, sponsor or donate, please visit www.marnecommunityandspousesclub.com.
MCSC is a 501c3, non-profit social and welfare organization that supports Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield families and the greater Marne community through community outreach, academic scholarships and welfare grants. For more information, visit www.marnecommunityandspousesclub.com.
