The Liberty County Chamber of Commerce has set a free, active-shooter training seminar presented by Mike Hodges of the Liberty County Emergency Management Agency.

It will be 8:30-10:30 a.m. March 21 at the Performing Arts Center, 2140 Oglethorpe Highway, Flemington.

The seminar is open to everyone interested. Unfortunately, mass shootings have become so prevalent that training for them has become commonplace.

People are invited to learn about shooter awareness and response, and workplace violence. Topics will also include behaviors that may lead to shootings. Seating is limited. You must register in advance.

The deadline to register is March 17. To register, call 368-4445 or email operations@libertycounty.org.
