After discussions with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, The Heritage Bank agreed last week to take actions to shore up its business.
The bank announced Thursday that it has entered into a consent agreement, or a “negotiated agreement between bank and [the] FDIC outlining certain actions the bank should take,” according to John Crowley, the bank’s marketing director.
The terms of the agreement are meant to make The Heritage Bank, headquartered in Hinesville, stronger, he said.
