A downtown Hinesville business recently announced a name change. The Gold Mender Jewelers officially will become Thomas Hill Jewelers, effective mid-September.
“The new name is the next step of growth in the area, letting people know that we are a fine jewelry store that offers a full line of bridal, colored gem stones, diamonds fashion jewelry, repair and appraisal,” said Chrisie Hill, who owns the store with her husband Tom Hill.
The jeweler will host the Van Dell Estate jewelry event Sept. 16-18. The collection features one-of-a-kind jewelry from the 1900s to the present, including rare platinum, gold, diamond and gemstone pieces. The collection also features authentic Victorian, Art Nouveau, Edwardian, Art Deco and retro jewelry.
Gold Mender Jewelers, which opened in 2001, is at 110 E. M.L. King Jr. Drive in Hinesville. The Hills say their goal is to provide customers in Hinesville and the surrounding area with a jewelry shopping experience unlike any other. Tom Hill is an award-winning jeweler and certified gemologist who can create custom designs and perform appraisals.
