ATLANTA — The Georgia Department of Labor’s Savannah Career Center will help JCB, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of construction equipment, recruit workers for its plant in Pooler in Chatham County.
The recruitment fair is from 3-7 p.m. today and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, at the JCB North American headquarters, 2000 Bamford Blvd. in Pooler. The headquarters is off Interstate 95 near exit 102, which is Highway 80 East.
The company is looking to hire workers to manufacture a new range of skid-steer products. Workers in the following areas are needed: lasers/press brakes, machining/CNC, material handling, assembly-line, painting, quality control and MIG welding. While previous manufacturing experience is preferred, it is not essential.
Attendees should be prepared to complete applications that will require applicants’ qualifications along with names, dates and contact numbers of previous employers. Military veterans are especially encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have at least a high school diploma or a GED.
Selected applicants will undergo background checks and drug screenings. JCB officials say the company provides competitive pay and benefits.
