Verizon Wireless recently launched its 4G LTE network in Hinesville and the surrounding area, including Midway, Fort Stewart, Hunter Army Airfield, Richmond Hill, Pembroke, the Savannah’s southside residential areas, Savannah International Airport, Skidaway, Whitemarsh, Wilmington and Tybee islands, Rincon, Springfield and Guyton.
The company initially launched its 4G LTE network in November in Savannah with coverage extending throughout the commercial and residential areas of the city, including historic downtown Savannah and the riverfront as well as Thunderbolt, Garden City, Port Wentworth and Pooler.
From Rincon to Hinesville, 4G LTE customers should experience average data rates of 5-12 megabits per second (Mbps) on the downlink and 2-5 Mbps on the uplink.
When customers travel outside of a 4G LTE coverage area, 4G LTE devices automatically connect to Verizon Wireless’ 3G network, enabling customers to stay connected from coast to coast.
