Oglethorpe Square opening moved to March 10

The grand opening for the new Oglethorpe Square Shopping Center has been rescheduled for March 10 at noon.

The community is invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony and openings of Dick’s Sporting Goods, LongHorn Steakhouse and Hobby Lobby.

Kenneth Howard, executive director of the Hinesville Development Authority, said tentatively T.J. Maxx and PetSmart will open on March 12 and Starbucks is planning to open April 21.

Other stores will follow with their own opening dates.

The grand opening will feature a local band, school cheerleaders, color guards, kid activities and refreshments.

"We want it to be something the community will remember," Howard said, "and really kick off shopping at the center."

Businesses at the shopping center include, ULTA, Aspen Dental, T-Mobile, Jersey Mike’s Subs, Wayback Burgers, Barberitos, Panda Express, Chick-Fil-A and Great Clips.
