Into the Sun Tanning Salon hosted a grand opening and ribbon cutting in conjunction with the Liberty County Chamber of Commerce on Feb. 27 at 217 Butler St. in Midway.
Owner Cayla Faulk welcomed staff, family, friends, as well as chamber staff, ambassadors and members to the event.
“We are very pleased to have you in the city of Midway,” Mayor Pro Tem Curtes Roberts Sr. said. “We hope the life of your business lasts a long time.”
The salon is open 10 a.m-6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. The salon is decorated with a beach theme and has three tanning-bed rooms. Spray-tanning services and body wraps also are offered.
Opening a tanning salon was Faulk’s idea, and her father left her the money to do so when he passed away. She considers her parents her business mentors.
“Thank you for supporting this business. I don’t know what I would have done without my clients,” Faulk said. “I also want to thank my mom and husband and especially my dad. My dad started this, and I don’t know what I would have done without him.”
“We are so happy that you’ve become part of the chamber,” chamber CEO Leah Poole said. “We are here to support you, so please let us know if there’s anything you need.”
