Target helping refinery blast victims

SAVANNAH -- United Way of the Coastal Empire has received another helping hand to help victims and families of the sugar refinery fire.
Target Stores will make a $10,000 contribution to United Way specifically to help provide grief counseling and support services necessary for children and their families who have been HIT by the fire at Imperial Sugar.
ThE donation came about after the Target Stores learned of the tragic aftermath of the Imperial Sugar Refinery explosion.  Target contacted United Way of the Coastal Empire to identify the best way for the company to help victims. All of Target's contributions will go to help affected victims and their families.

Minneapolis-based Target has 1,591 stores in 47 states nationwide. It also has two distribution centers in this area, one in Liberty County near Midway.
